I am getting a more accurate view of what eat now. As for calories, no wonder I'm a fat woman! I am noticing patterns in my eating as well. Things like WHEN I am snacking & WHAT I am snacking on. I will admit that I actually thought about NOT putting those 12 cookies in my mouth but went ahead & ate them anyway. When I had to write them on paper, enter them into Fit Day & I saw the total calories from just the cookies....it was painful. You know what? Before I wouldn't have given it a second thought. As for the burger...that is progress. In 2005, it would have eaten a 1/4 pounder with cheese, a super size french fry & a super size coke. I also made a concisious decesion NOT to drink soda at dinner tonight. THAT felt good. Progress is progress....right?

Tomorow it's time to break in another Christmas present...my new Easy Shaper.

I'm not sure how I stumbled upon your blog, but I've been checking in with you for the past few days. I just wanted to add my voice to those of support you have in your life. I too am beginning (again, after baby #2) my weight loss journey. After baby #1, I lost 25 pounds. This time, I don't have that much to lose, but it's still difficult to establish a new routine and lifestyle. One thing that I have found to REALLY help me is to not eat after 6 p.m. I will have a decent dinner and then that's it. No more eating. I will have some tea (no sugar), but no solids. I also find that going to bed when I feel tired helps to ward off the temptation to snack. I snack when I get tired.
I think you are making great progress in identifying what you eat - when and why. That is a major key in your success of lifestyle change.
Keep up the good work! I'm cheering for you!
